Uttaranchal is one of the most beautiful and enchanting region located on the northern part of India on the valley of Himalayas. The State, which was curved out of Uttar Pradesh got the statehood in the year 2001. Nature has endowed this land with so much beauty and spiritual bliss that it is also known as Dev Bhoomi the Land of Gods. Ganga, Yamuna and scores of other rivers originate in Uttaranchal. Among them Ganga is the most holy and prominent as she represents the soul of India - her rich culture, history and civilization. In Sanskrit the name 'Himalaya' means Abode of Snow, truly characterizing the vast permanent snow fields above the snow line

This mountainous state can proudly beast of being that part of the subcontinent wherefrom the Indian Civilisation development and proliferated to the pan-Indian demension. Infact, the Kadarkhand, the classical identity of this region, formed an integral part of the Aryavart of the Bharat. This region has been the grand repository of diverse cultures since the Khaha and Kirati cultures intermingled here ages ago. And, as the wheels of time rolled by innumerable ethno-cultural milieus developed, fr-lourished and vanished here. The imprpints of all those past identities are still buried under the substratum.

                            अल्मोड़ा



समुद्रतल से १७५० मीटर की  औसत उचा- इ पर स्तिथ है | यह पूर्व दिशामें फेला है |

उत्तर में बागेश्वर पूर्व में चम्पावत पशिम में नेनीताल है |

 यह स्थान पर्यटन नगरी के रूप में विकसित है | मॉल रोड ,नंदादेवी मंदिर ,शित्लादेवी मंदिर अदि इसके मुख आकर्षण है |


                            
                               

                                                             कोटद्वार 




कोटद्वार का विकास वर्ष १८९७ से प्रारभ हुआ | यह एक व्यपारिक केंद्र के रूप में विकसित हुआ | यहाँ सबसे पहेले रेल मार्ग  नजीमाबाद से कोटद्वार से ही गाडी चली | यातायात विकसित होने लोग बसने लगे यहाँ पर छोटे - छोटे उधोग की भी स्थापना हो चुकी है | यह गढ़वाल का प्रवेश द्वार है |









                    चम्पावत 


यह नगर प्राचीन नगरो में से एक है | यह समुद्रतल से ५००० फुट की उचाई पर स्थित है |१५ सितम्बर १९९७ को उत्तर-प्रदेश की तत्कालीन मुख्मंत्री मायावती इसे एअक जनपद का रूप दिया| इस जनपद की सीमाए पूर्व में नेपाल,पशिम में नेनीताल से लगी हुई है| यहाँ गर्मियो मे अधिक  गर्मी और उचाई वाले जगह में अधिक ठण्ड रहती है| इसका औसद लम्बाई २००४ वर्ग की० मी० है |










                                               नैनीताल   




यह स्थान का सवर्प्रथम विस्वस्नी विवरण सन १८३९ से मिलता है| इस ताल की लम्बाई १५०० मीटर है ,५१० मीटर चोडाई है और दोनों तरफ सड़के है  मलिताल और निचला भाग तलीताल कहलाता है|यहाँ सालो भर पर्यटक की भीड़ लगी रहती है लकिन गर्मियो में अधिक पर्यटक आते है | यह भारत के  7 wonder के नाम में  से एक में जाना जाता है| यह स्थान पर्यटक की दृष्टि से बहुत  अधिक विकसित है जेसे नोकायान,घुड़सवारी,स्केटिंग अदि सुविधा उपलब्ध है | डॉक्टर कहते है की यदि आप को मानसिक तनाव और कुछ और बीमारिया वहा के जलवायु से ठीक होती है|  


                                                        हल्द्वानी  





उत्तराखंड की सबसे बड़ी व्यपारिक नगरी है |हल्द्वानी शब्द हल्दू के पेडो से पड़ा है  हल्द्वानी में आलू की मंडी भी प्रसिद है यहाँ से एक घंटे की दुरी पर नानिताल है नानिताल  पास होने की वजह से यह स्थान गर्मियों में गरम और सर्दियों मे अधिक ठंडा होता है |हल्द्वानी पहाड़ो का प्रवेश द्वार है |यहाँ से आगे पहाड़  शुरु हो जाता है|    
















                                                             हरिद्वार 


हिमालय की तलहटी में समुद्रतल से २९४ मीटर की उचाई पर पवित्र गंगा पर हरिद्वार तीर्थ स्थित है |यहाँ से गंगा हिमालय से मेदान में उतरती है| हरिद्वार  में स्नान करना तीर्थ के बराबर  मान्यता है|यहाँ पर भारत की प्रमुख कम्पनी भेल, देव संस्कृती विश्व-विद्यालय और गुरुकुल विश्व-विधालय स्थापित है | हरिद्वार को एक तीर्थ का दर्जा दिया गया है | 


                                                              मसूरी 




६५०० की फुट  उचाई पर स्थित यह स्थान भारत के प्रमुख पर्वतीय नगरो था पर्यटन केन्द्रों में प्रसिद्ध स्थान है|यहाँ  से हिमालय की चोटिया दिखाई देती है|इसे फादो की रानी भी कहा जाता है| १९०१ में यहाँ कुल जन-संखिया ४४७१ थी जिसमे ७८% अंग्रेज थे| स्वतंत्रता प्राप्ति के समय यहाँ बड़ा नुकसान हुआ |
        १९५८-१९६० पर यहाँ पर रास्ट्रीय प्रेशास्निक अकादमी की स्थापना  हुई | यहाँ वर्ष भर पर्यटकों का आना-जाना लगा रहता है |

Patal Bhuvaneshwar is also a tourist place of Uttranchal. This place is famous for the temple name as Patal Bhuvaneshwar. This city lies on near Himalayas range. From the Patal Bhuvaneshwar you can see the snow area of Himalayas. The best time to visit Patal Bhuvaneshwar in the time of summer

                               MUKTESHWAR

Mukteshwar once a British cantonment is located 52 kms. from Nanital realy quiet green and picturesque. It offers some of the magnificant view of the Himalays peaks. The oldest town of the region Almora equidistant from Nanital and Mukteshwar is 60 kms away. Steeped in India culture and traditions Swami Vivekanand recomended Almora, Ranikhet, Kausani route is a typical tourist favourite.   

                                                   

               AULI

Auli is nestled in the laps of snow capped peaks the Garhwal Uttrakhand and near the world famous religious shrine of Badrinath. At an altitude of 2500 to 3050 meters above sea level, Auli well-dressed slope are flanked by coniferous and oak forest which offer a panoramic view of  the  Mountains If you are out of adventure fun and frolic in winters find yourself in Auli in the vicinity of the mountains peaks Nanda Devi and Mana Parbat. Best time to visit Auli from Nov. to late March

          PUNAGIRI TEMPLE

At the height of 3000mtrs above sea level this sacred shrine lies a top the Poornagiri hill. It is 20kms from Champavat. Large number of over devotes visit the shrine from all over the country especially during the Chaitra Navratri in the month of March and April. The area reverberates with the holy chants of devotes climbing the hill. The River Kali flows from here and is known as Sharda in the plains.


          

UTTARKASHI

Situated at an altitude of 1158 mtrs above sea level and at a distance of 145 km. from Rishikesh on the bank of river Bhagirathi this picturesque town acquires importance because of the very significant pilgrimage-centers; Gangotri and Yamunotri.

Also Called

Uttarakhand is also called "Dev Bhoomi" (God's land). It is true because it is the place
where nature is at its splendor and perhaps that's why it is believed Gods also couldn't

जागेश्वर मे एक देवदार का पेड है वह बहुत बढ़ा है कहते है की इसकी  उचाई 62.80 लम्बा है और 8.20 चोडा है | यहाँ एक दो मंदिर मे ही पूजा अर्चना होती है यह स्थान शिव के बारह ज्योतिलिंग मे से एक है |
